Areas of Exposure

Personalized Kinematic Knee Replacement

Understanding the principles and techniques involved in customizing knee replacement procedures based on individual patient anatomy and biomechanics.

Knee Preservation Techniques

Learning non-surgical and minimally invasive techniques aimed at preserving knee joint function, including physiotherapy, injections, and bracing.

Osteotomies

Hands-on experience in performing osteotomies to correct deformities and realign the knee joint, including high tibial osteotomy and distal femoral osteotomy.

Arthroscopic ACL Repair and Reconstruction

Comprehensive training in arthroscopic techniques for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair and reconstruction, including graft selection, tunnel placement, and rehabilitation protocols.

Meniscus Repairs

Understanding the indications, techniques, and outcomes associated with meniscus repair procedures, both inside-out and all-inside techniques.

Orthobiologicals in Knee

Familiarization with the use of orthobiological agents such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), stem cells, and hyaluronic acid in the treatment of knee pathologies and injuries.

Shoulder Arthroscopy Surgeries

Training in diagnostic and therapeutic arthroscopic procedures for various shoulder pathologies, including rotator cuff tears, labral tears, and instability.

Shoulder Replacements

Understanding the indications, surgical techniques, and rehabilitation protocols for shoulder arthroplasty procedures, including total shoulder replacement and reverse shoulder replacement.

Training Content

Didactic Lectures

Regular sessions covering anatomy, biomechanics, surgical techniques, and post-operative management related to knee and shoulder surgeries.

Surgical Observation

Observing and assisting experienced surgeons in a variety of knee and shoulder surgeries to gain insight into surgical techniques and patient management.

Hands-on Surgical Training

Case Discussions

Clinical Rotations

Rotating through outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and rehabilitation facilities to gain exposure to the comprehensive care of patients with knee and shoulder conditions.
