Arthroscopy surgery is a keyhole surgical procedure performed to treat disorders in joints. This is performed to both treating as well as diagnosing the problem. This involves the use of a device called an arthroscope. Arthroscopy surgery is usually performed in the shoulder, knee, ankle, elbow, hip and wrist. The supreme advantage of this surgical procedure is that it creates only a few number of cuts in the body to carry out the entire surgery and so the recovery time from after the surgery is of short duration.
